Description:
Time is against you. You know what you'd like to say if you could only find the words. But some things in life are strictly... TABOO.
Example: How do you get your team to say the word BIRTHDAY... if you can't say the words HAPPY, ANNIVERSARY, CANDLES, PRESENTS or CAKE?
You might say: "Friends and family sing to you once each year," or "You celebrate this event by blowing out a fire on top of a frosted dessert." Or you might hum the well-known tune until your team shouts, "Birthday!"
Each time your teams shouts out the secret word, you get a point. But be careful! Your opponents will be looking over your shoulder, making sure you don't say any of the TABOO words. Because if you do and they catch you, they sound the buzzer and score a point!
TABOO... it's unspeakable fun. Take our word for it!

Think outside the box
The key to making this game even more fun is to make the clues personal - make them something that means something to the team or person trying to guess. Say something like "that perfume that I wear" "the movie you laughed so hard in you snorted" "in college, we snuck out and got caught _____" Make it your own, don't go for black and white pat clues!

Fire Hazzard
This is the most unlucky game ever. My grandmother got it for Christmas and one night we were over at her house playing Taboo, and a candle got knocked over on the kitchen table. The spread out cards caught fire, and I grabbed the box cover and started swatting the fire with it. A flaming card flew off the table and into Grandma's face. Someone had filled a pitcher with water and dumped it all over everything, putting the fire out and drenching Grandma. There was minimal damage to the table, but half of the cards were scorched and the buzzer shortcircuited from the water. This is a terrible game.

Terrible Game
This is a terrible game. The only thing good about this game is the end of it as well as the nice sound the buzzer makes when you press the button. I would recommend this game for infants who cant play or elders who are to old too realize the meaning of life as well as the foundation of fun. If you get this game for Christmas make sure you ask for the gift recipt.

My Favorite Game
I am obsessed with this game. I was having a party once, and borrowed Taboo Jr. from my neighbor and it was a total blast. Since then I have bought my own copy of Taboo and have given a copy as a birthday present. It's just that great! After a while, rules get pushed aside along with team divisions. It's a good game to play with people you know well! In my opinion, it's one of those games you don't have to explain because everyone sort of catches on. I'd recommend to anyone from the ages of 12+!
