garage sale material
bought it at a garage sale, now i know why. my 7 year old has wanted this game for a while, i'm so glad i didn't pay retail price. i got it for $6 from a neighbor. there child played it once and didn't like it. probably took to long to put together. everything came new in the box...except it didn't come with instructions. glad we have internet so we can get the instructions for the game play.

My son is obsessed with this game (age 4). We don't play according to the instructions. The parts don't always work. But it is his favorite. We have 4 sets with misc broken pieces. All 4 are from garage sales. We combine the parts with marble run and dominos. It is a great game for someone with a good imagination.

what happened to this game?
I obviously had this game as a kid and it worked great. Just got it this Xmas for my daughter. The boot doesn't reach the bucket, and the parts slide around in holes too big, and the hand doesn't come with a spring like it used to, so the second ball doesn't work either - piece of junk

Disappointed
After struggling to figure out how to put it together to make it work (sort of), due to the poor instructions, it only "sort of" worked. Boot didn't reach the bucket, pieces didn't fit quite right, and just overall a piece of crap.

No game instructions
I liked playing the game Mouse Trap when I was younger, but I forgot how to play. When I opened up the game, I noticed that there wasn't any instructions on how to play the game. It just had the plan on how to put the mouse trap together. I am looking online to find out how to play the game. Once I find out how to play,it will be more fun.

Damaged goods
This was the second mousetrap game bought (first one two years ago). Both games had defective parts and had to be returned after each Christmas. By then replacement games have been sold out. Woolworths (as was) and Argos this year were great for refunds but no game left kids disappointed.
Both children enjoyed setting the game up and it was only when the final pieces were being assembled that damaged parts were noticed each time. Must be our bad luck. Better luck next year if girls still want the game.

bought it for my 7 yr old bday
I agree...Good concept, but not well made. It took awhile to set the game up. Then it took some more time to push the pieces in the right position as the boot does not quite reach the bucket. Then realized the rubberband was missing from the game. Online for replacements...rubberband is not included in the parts list. Rummaged through my houe until I found a rubberband that could be substituted. I think my 7 year old enjoyed my diligence on getting the game to work and finding replacement parts in the house then the actual game, but he did get a kick out of watching the man fly through the air and capturing the mouse.
