Description:
In the beginning, the companies are small. But they grow. And merge. And reform. And merge again. Those who buy the right stocks and merge the right companies thrive. Those that don't, fall behind.
This classic business game has never looked better. An all plastic board with plastic tiles that fit snugly to it add a three dimensional quality that brings the game to life. Now corporations are capped with skyscrapper roofs that create a mini skyline. The companies have been renamed to reflect a 21st century economy but no rules have changed.
The game can be learned in minutes. Which tile to play, which company to invest in, and when to merge two companies is a skill that takes many games to master.

Our Review:
The quintessential business game--Acquire blows Monopoly out of the water. Around since the 1960s, Acquire is still as popular as ever. The most recent version, from Hasbro, is nicely done. If you ever played Monopoly and thought that it was based far too heavily on luck, Acquire is the perfect game for you.

the is a very simple to learn game (15 minutes) but our group of high tech guys have been playing it for many years and find layers upon layers of strategies. it has some luck but experience , strategy and some memory prevails. Amazing game!

Best game for us!
We have been playing ACQUIRE for twenty years and have yet to be bored. I started playing with my in-laws, and now play with my kids. I have introduced a new generation to it and they keep playing. It's great fun, the more the merrier. Get it, you will love it!

Anyone want to part with their copy or know of anyone that does? We love playing the 1999 version, our friend has it.
We would love to own the 1999 version too.

new rule
I love board games but this is one of the best. One rule we play to make it better is to allow each player to sale up to three stock cards before buying -at actual price-. This rule gives a chance to have always money to buy what you need and also this rule forces to others to buy these stock cards to go on being first or second.

Simply Amazing...
Love it to death. It's soo much better than the luck-based monopoly. Different set of rules can make it much more interesting (eg: hide the cash or hide the stocks). They just released the new version. It's a must-own board game. Period.

Da Bomb
I hate board games but can't turn this game away. This game is hands down the best game out there. Best with 4-6 players. Even more fun with additional game boards added and more players. Buy this game if you can get your hands on one...you will not regret it.

Get a copy of this if you can, particularly if the new release actually happens. We were introduced to this game a few years back by some friends and love it, it's our absolute favorite game to play. As with most strategy games, it plays OK with 2, but it's best with 3 or more players.
