This classic business game has never looked better. An all plastic board with plastic tiles that fit snugly to it add a three dimensional quality that brings the game to life. Now corporations are capped with skyscrapper roofs that create a mini skyline. The companies have been renamed to reflect a 21st century economy but no rules have changed.
The game can be learned in minutes. Which tile to play, which company to invest in, and when to merge two companies is a skill that takes many games to master.

The quintessential business game--Acquire blows Monopoly out of the water. Around since the 1960s, Acquire is still as popular as ever. The most recent version, from Hasbro, is nicely done. If you ever played Monopoly and thought that it was based far too heavily on luck, Acquire is the perfect game for you.

Get a copy of this if you can, particularly if the new release actually happens. We were introduced to this game a few years back by some friends and love it, it's our absolute favorite game to play. As with most strategy games, it plays OK with 2, but it's best with 3 or more players.

GREATEST GAME EVER MADE!
awasome game! i play it every weekend after i got it. great fun every time. involves planning ahead of time, using a lil bit of strategy with a lil bit of luck. great game overall. monopoly is nothing compared to acquire!

Gut-wrenching classic
Acquire is classic and gut-wrenching. Traditional Monopoly lacks luster as a strategy game. We play a Monopoly version that seems to redeem its strategic element. We call it the 'closed auction' variation. Rather than buying unowned properties from the bank, there is an immediate auction open to all players anytime someone lands on an unowned property with the bids written down on a piece of paper and revealed together. Those of you who have lost interest in regular Monopoly should give it a try. It's lots of fun.

Perfect game
Our family favorite - all three children have their own copies, and we have been playing since 1974. There is enough luck to balance the skill and give everyone a chance.
