Our Review:
Wits and Wagers is a great family or party game that combines trivia, analysis, and betting skills in a fast-paced, easy-to-learn game that scales incredibly well. All players write their answers to a trivia question on cards. The answers are always numbers, such as "What year was the toaster invented?" or "How tall is the average NBA player?" The answers are sorted and placed on a betting mat, with the middle answer (numerically) in the center of the mat, and the smallest and largest answers at the ends. Each answer's space has betting return odds, such as "2 to 1" in the center space, all the way out to "5 to 1" on the edges. Then users place bets on which answers they believe are the closest, without going over the actual answer (remember The Price is Right?). After the answer is read, users collect chips corresponding to how well they placed thier bets, and a bonus if they wrote down the winning answer on their card.
Supporting 4 to 7 players, or 4 to 7 teams of two or three players each, just about any number of people can enjoy this game, making it very versatile. And because every player is active during every step of the game, Wits and Wagers is a great way to keep a group of any size entertained continuously. With a relatively short playing time (20-25 minutes), Wits and Wagers can be used as a short time filler, or multiple games can be played. Every time we play-tested Wits and Wagers, we couldn't help but play 2 or 3 games. It's that fun.
Wits and Wagers is the ultimate trivia game, because everyone can have fun--whether or not you are a trivia buff. This is because knowing the answers to the trivia questions is secondary to analyzing the answers of everyone combined, and betting on the most likely winners.
We absolutely recommend Wits and Wagers as an essential addition to anyone's party game library.

| Finally a Trivia Game I can Win!
I don't normally do the greatest when we play Trivial Pursuits... even if it's a modern version. That's why I love this game so much! Even if you have a brain fart about the answer, you could still win points for that question!
If you like this game, try "Apples to Apples" and "What's Yours Like?" a four player party game for ages 12 and up. "The game that tells it like it is!"

| Fun Party Game
This is a great game for those who love trivia and are good at it AND for those who aren't. As the description states Each player or team answers a question. All answers are placed faced down and then flipped up. Each player/team then places their wager on which answer they believe is correct. Even if their own answer is WAY OFF they still have the ability to score points. We played with a group ages 10-50 and the younger kids did just as well as the adults.
I would say if you have one person in your group that is just absolutely brilliant, it is possible for them to blow everyone else away. All in all a great little party game. More fun with more people.
