This game is BRUTAL!! It takes FOREVER to setup. It's not a board, it's a puzzle. You need to put it together which takes way to long for such a boring game.

im already 13, but i remember all the steps from my childhood because this game was a childhood fave of mine! the characters are cute, too!

I'm almost inclined to believe that the "good" reviews above are all a big joke. Now I love nostalgia as much as anyone... I played this as a kid too... (evidently, I have no recollection of it, maybe I disliked it then too)
We've tried to play it with our 3yo. I is a PAINFUL game for adults. Play goes as follows:
1) Draw a card
2) Move to the nearest (or second-nearest) space with the same color as your card
3) repeat. Over. And over. And over.
It can't hold the interest of my 3yo, he gets bored and starts "pretending" he doesn't know what color to look for.
I'd love to recommend this game, but I dread it...

A Mom
I would not recommend this game. Could not hold the interest of a 4 year old. The only thing interestin about it are the graphics on the front of the box and the hype of the display unit at the store. MINUS 5 stars.

I'm 16 years old and I love this game I never get tired of playing candyland! candyland is very cool and it also helps you learn a lot about life and everything in life! I love this game and have it at home!!!

my grade 12 class is using the idea of candyland as out theme for carnival. Myself and my freinds are the ones in charge of it and creating the look and decorating our gym to resemble the game to take us back to our childhood, thats the main reason why we are doing it because it was such a great game!

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
I LOVE this game and I'm 13 years old!! I so want this for my birthday because I lost my old one from when I was a kid...like it was that long ago from when I was a kid! haha well I LOVE THIS GAME!!

I think that Candyland is a great game for children at other people who like to play candy board games.This is a great game for everyone to enjoy with friends and family!

I absolutely love this game!! I played this growing up as a kid, and I will definately buy this for my kids, and play it with them!! It is a great game for kids to play with their family!

There are much better games
This game was the first one I picked up mistakenly believing it was the game you used to introduce gaming to the very young. Boy was I wrong. There are so many better games out there even for the 3 and 4 year old set. I would not recommend this game to anyone.
