THE Game
Once you play diplomacy you will never be satisfied with anything else, ever again. Take control of one of 7 WWI, old world European powers and lead your empire to victory. Based on an ingenious game and battle system that uses pure human intelligence, strategy and tactics. Not for the faint of heart or people with pressing engagements as the game can take a long time. You'll enjoy every minute though, right until you get stabbed. But that's why you play again. Have fun and be prepared to get your hands dirty!

Truly the best
"Best board game ever. Though it is hard to gather seven people, the total lack of luck makes this strategic bombshell a blast."

Best in its class
There definitely are people who do or will hate this game. Not because it isn't a terrific game or because it is too complex, etc. They will hate the game for the same reason they will hate surviving the next big catastrophe: discovering what is actually under your neighbor's mask of civility is an ugly and disturbing experience. This game brings it out.

Risk on Steroids
I heard about this game from my brother who started playing it in school. I went to one of the games and was hook. It truly is like a game of Risk but on steroids.

Has been the best forever
I have not seen this game in decades, but its play definitely helped hone my intellect and social skills. It does require a small cadre of smarties to play a good game though.

Just Brillaint!!!
For me it was one of the hardest boardgames to learn. Because you don't have dice or a luck factor. It is all about negotiation!! It takes some time to get use to and to learn the negotiation skills. Many people will see it in the beginning as a normal boardgame where you just write orders and play. But once the negotiation starts and everybody is freaking out of control there is no stopping the game. Deffintly the best boardgame in the world and deffintly one of the tuffest. Buy one if you can!!!

An amazing game! Leaves infantry, cavalry, cannons and dice in the dust! WARNING: Not for the faint of heart.

The perfect gift for the doctoral candidate or MENSA member you know & love...
Should be played in a smokey room over multiple cigars and a good bottle of scotch on a rainy day or week. A tremendous game of strategy and negotiation. Very little to no luck involved, and will tax your mind. The learning curve is a little steep, certainly not for those easily distracted or on ritalin. Makes 'Risk' seem like 'Chutes & Ladders', but the payoff is definitely worth the investment. A game Winston Churchill or William Buckley types would be proud to play...

The best strategy game ever.
This is a great game and unlike many board games, there are no dice. Only strategy determines the outcomes of battle, not bad dice rolls. A different game each time you play and loads of fun. Be careful though, it can be very addicting.

Not for me. Period.
The game is about screwing your allies, and playing one person against the other. It is indeed the ultimate screw your neighbor game. I will never play it again.

A great game you must get!
This is a great game. Simply put, the negotiations keeps the game exciting throughout the entire game. I have seen friends mad at each other after the game is done. YOU MUST GET THIS GAME

What Are You Waiting For
It takes a lot of practise to get used to and get good at the game but once you do it is the most thrilling board game known to man kind. Comparable only with the championship manger series this game will take up hours of your life BUT ITS WORTH EVERY BIT.

Great game for a rainy month
I started playing Diplomacy in 1988 in high school. The loss of a whole day never appealed to me, but the game lends itself well to having orders read 2-3 times per week, with days of secret rendevous and trash-talking in between. It's now a good distraction with coworkers that only takes a few minutes a day, but is the subject of a lot of water-cooler talk.

My favorite game of all time
My favorite aspect of the game is that you can't blame the dice. It eats a an entire day but it is worth every hour. I almost lost a lot of friends playing this game heheheh

Brain Fry
If you have any interest in games you must play this at some point in your life. Set a day aside and get a few friends around. Don't be put off by how complicated it seems. Its well, well worth it!! The strategy evolves constantly and betrayal is always only one thought away. Wera a crash helmet & dont take it personally

Like Risk but Better
Although a bit complicated it provides many hours of fun! It has the basics of Risk however it requires much more concentration and forethought. Diplomacy demands a lot of managing and requires much intelligence. Make alliances, break treaties, back stab your friends and conquer the world! Use your fleets wisely and out maneuver your enemies with your armies. Support your attacks, defend your territories and set up your convoys... Only one country can become victorious!

Thrilling experience
Although it is hard to imagine playing a game for 8 hours straight, this one keeps you attentive and entertained to a level you forget time and even the basic biological needs...A true must for any serious gamer!

hmm...
This game is excellent. Although it does take great concentration for several hours its well worth it. The ability to stab your allies in the back is priceless, and necessary to win. Quite fun.

Stab and Conquer
This is the grestest game EVER!! You need a few hours, but after you have that, this game is worth every cent of 40 dollars. It is so good because of the absence of luck and the ability to lie, cheat and backstab your allies. You do not know who to trust, and when to stop trustng. AWESOME GAME.
